Thank you!
I found my voice with the help of some incredible professionals. I am grateful for the kindness they have shared in helping me make this a reality. Together we honour Abbey’s memory as friends helping friends.
Family & Friend Support
My friends and family have supported me in my grief, and through that support have encouraged me to find my voice. Thanks to the many hours you listened to me while I processed out loud, and brainstormed, I finally came to this purpose. I am so grateful for the love, patience, and encouragement of you all. Technical Support
Janet Keen of Keeneye Design, has been my friend since before Abbey was born. In addition to hours of discussions around the concept, it is thanks to her that LIVID! came alive visually, through all of the graphic design in the website and across all of LIVID’s platforms. You are a genius, and I am so grateful for your help.
Blake Keen, Janet’s son, worked his magic to create images to capture the outrage, the grief, and the story behind LIVID! These are powerful messages, hard to put into words let alone a picture. He did it.
Music
Emily Gordon, a friend of Abbey’s, composed and recorded the hauntingly beautiful music for the podcast.
Emily is a Vancouver-based alternative rock artist known for her raw, emotionally charged songwriting and powerful sound. Inspired by artists like Hayley Williams of Paramore and Pat Benatar, she blends vulnerability with grit, turning personal struggles into bold, unapologetic music.
You can find more of Emily’s music and hear the full track of “LIVID!” through the links below.
Media Support
Throughout the court process CTV News Vancouver reported on the case, making sure that our community heard the story, and the awful consequences of impaired driving could be made more real for those who haven’t experienced them directly. This coverage is critical to making change. The realities are too easy to ignore if they are kept private and this coverage was critical in amplifying this victim’s voice. I am grateful to the CTV News team and specifically, Ben Nesbit and Demetra Maragos for their responsive, and responsible coverage. You can read and watch what they reported through the links here.
